The project consortium
For implementing the project, a Consortium was established to cover the various aspects addressed by such a European energy efficiency development and improvement project. The Consortium consists of committed industrial associations in the industry, chambers of commerce and industry, university and energy expert bureaus in 5 European countries: The Netherlands, Germany, Czech Republic, Hungary and Greece. This Consortium was formed to bring together organisations with energy efficiency and industry knowledge and industry organisations and chambers, in relation to SME’s within the industry, in order to build up and spread latest know-how on energy efficiency, to develop new tools on energy efficiency improvement, to test this new approach with SME’s, to come to voluntary agreements (actions plans) by SME’s and to spread the results all over the European industry.
Partners:
Energy Experts International, a well known expert firm in the graphic media and other industries. This firm produces practically-oriented and economically attractive advices concerning energy and environment and develops integral and creative approaches for SME’s, national and international institutions and governmental organizations.Energy Experts International (NL) will be the Co-ordinator (CO) of the project and formal applicant of the project, being responsible for the overall project. Energy Experts International will also manage the day-to-day work of the project and be responsible for the organisation of project management meetings, project planning, reporting to the Commission and monitoring the project budget and administration. Energy Experts International will also be the work package leader of and responsible for work package 4: consultancy of SME's and work package 6: common dissemination activities and participate in all other work packages.

The KVGO Dienstencentrum is a full service research and consultancy firm for graphic media companies in the following five areas: techniques and production (among other things energy, environment), marketing, personnel, finance and management. The KVGO Dienstencentrum developed several international contacts to several European industry organizations and institutes and is member of the European Graphic Media Industry Network EGINKVGO Dienstencentrum (NL), being an experienced partner in developing instruments in the industry, will be work package leader of work package 3: development and testing, and participate in all work packages, except work package 1: management. KVGO DC will be responsible for the delivery of the energy efficiency improvement tool.

ENERGO GROUP S.A. is a well known consulting company, having vast experience in Energy, Environmental, Industrial and Infrastructure Projects. The Company has carried out successfully a number of relevant projects for the public and private sector in Greece and abroad, many of which are in the field of Energy Efficiency in the industrial sector including the graphic media industry.ENERGO GROUP (GR) will participate in the Work Packages 2-5, being responsible for the Greek expert input and contacts to Greek SMEs in the project work packages.

The Handwerkskammer Münster (Chamber of Small and Medium Industry and Commerce) and its Centre for IT/Media Technology in Germany has industrial contacts with several hundreds of SME’s within the printing industry in Germany and experience in advising and training SME’s and in conducting several European projects.Handwerkskammer Münster- Zentrum für IT/Medientechnologie (D) will participate in the work packages 2-5, being responsible for the contacts to German SME's in the project work packages.

Athens Technological Educational Institute, Department of Graphic Arts Technology, a well-known department with graphic media expertise, having direct contacts with Greek industry organisations and SME’s in the Graphic Media Industry. Technological Educational Institute of Athens (GR) will participate in the work packages 2-6, being responsible for the Greek inventory and assessment (WP2) and the European contacts with EGIN and will also participate in work package 6: common dissemination. All named organizations have a considerable experience in international projects and dispose of a wide scale network in their countries and abroad.

The University of Wuppertal, Institute Media Economy/ Innovation Management is a central research, information and transfer platform for the graphic media industry in Germany. Their experience lies in research and development projects in the context of media innovation, energy efficiency and technological development and competence development. This University has a well-established European and global network of Universities, industry organizations and experts within the graphic media industry.Bergische Universität Wuppertal- Institut Druck und Medientechnologie (D) will be the work package leader of work package 2: inventory and assessment, being responsible for the delivery of the synthesis report and for the work package 5: communication and dissemination. The Institute will participate in work packages 3, 4 and 5.
